The second child of Barold and Nancy Belrose, Izzy was a sweet baby. Her older brother took up most of her parents' time with his wild ways, so Izzy entertained herself, playing in the garden or with toys, or trailing the family pets around the cottage they lived in in Godric's Hollow. Her parents owned a sweet shop in the small wizarding town, and Izzy loved to help out, which mostly consisted of sitting in the back and tasting sweets as her mum made them while her dad dealt with customers. She was a pleasant and good-natured child and a pleasure to have around, according to her mum. When her baby brother came along, she mothered him something wicked, loving having a tiny person to look after, even though she was only tiny herself.

A social butterfly, Izzy was excited to start school. She was sorted into Hufflepuff, which was no surprise to her family, and threw herself into school life. Not the most academic person, she did well at things like Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures, and took a shine to Potions. She sang in the frog choir and cheered Hufflepuff on in quidditch matches (no way was she getting on a broom). Her best friend Helley, a Slytherin girl with a bit of a reputation, was her biggest confidante and the best surprise of her entire school life. An unexpected friendship that blossomed out of seemingly nowhere, but the two were inseparable, and Izzy was always willing to get herself into a bit of trouble in the name of having a giggle with her bestie. (Flirting with professors and going to secret parties, anyone?)

Izzy had known what she wanted to do with her life since she was little. She liked looking after people, helping them, and putting a smile on their faces, and the best way she could think of to do that every day was to become a healer. She had all the relevant grades and the enthusiasm to smash healer training, so that's what she did. She's been a healer at St Mungos on the spell damage ward for a decade now.

She dabbled with relationships a few times over the years, longing to meet a guy she could settle down with and have a big family. Her biggest dream was to be a mother, but it never happened with dancer Derek, and it definitely didn't happen with timid Tim. The closest she came was three years and an almost proposal with perfect Pete, only she caught him snogging another woman on a night out and dropped him like a hot brick. She's been single for a year now and is becoming increasingly stressed that she'll never have kids and a dream wedding.
