Before she could even sit up alone she would cuddle her toys, always holding onto something. She would cuddle and coddle all her favourite toys and even her younger siblings as they came along. She was never without something in her arms and she would always feed her toys before taking a bite for herself. Plenty of her toys had to be magically cleaned by her father or they’d have had brown-orange stained mouths from every meal she’d ever had. At the age of 11 she was off to Hogwarts, and sorted into Hufflepuff in under three seconds of the hat being on her head. She thrived with her fellow badgers and did well at the more “homely” lessons. Potions, Herbology, are of Magical Creatures. She was always that friend you came to when you were sick or hurt or going through a difficult time. Lottie loved to bake but not having a kitchen meant she had to improvise so she learnt how to use the fireplace to make cookies and brownies, right up until her sixth year when she discovered the entrance to the kitchens. She loved cooking and would spend a lot of time with the house elves of the castle, although she still cooked treats over the fire - the common room just wouldn’t be the same without the smell of her cookies floating around. During her sixth year at Hogwarts, Lottie started dating a guy in her year from Gryffindor. Valentine Puddifoot. His grandmother owned the famous tea shop in Hogsmeade and over the summers the pair would visit together and Lottie would learn and bake all kinds of new things. Valentine was fun and pushed Lottie into taking a few more risks than she usually would have. They had all kinds of adventures together - hiking, adventure parks, parachuting - She had a lot of fun with him and they dated for the rest of their time at Hogwarts. After Hogwarts Lottie was encouraged to become a Healer but she knew that wasn’t the right life for her. She was caring and she was compassionate, but the idea of losing a patient just broke her heart. No, she took on a job as a baker in Val’s nan’s tea shop. She loved baking, loved creating new things, and enjoyed being just as close to Val’s family as her own. Val’s family just embraced her and while Val got a job in the ministry, she was happy baking away. After a year of dating outside of Hogwarts, Val proposed to Lottie. He took her to one of his favourite hiking spots, got on one knee, and told her of how he’d always known she was his heart. Lottie had welled up but he went on. He told her of how he had been in this exact spot when he had known he was going to propose. That became their spot. A secluded place just for the two of them that looked out over a forest and a little muggle village down in the valley. After getting married and buying their first house, Lottie and Val welcomed their first child. A little angel by the name of Summer. Everyone from all sides fussed over their little darling and Lottie couldn’t wait to try again. Just over two years later little Harmony joined them. Lottie was besotted with her little family and they tried once more, having another little girl a little over a year later. Summer and Harmony became big sisters to Meadow. Lotte felt their family was complete. Three perfect girls. Not working as much as she used to, Lottie stayed home to look after the girls. They would often visit their grandparents, aunts and uncles, have cousins over to visit and were signed up for just about every activity you could ever have imagined. Val got busier and busier with work, earning himself promotion after promotion and Lottie couldn’t have been prouder. Unexpectedly for the couple, they found themselves pregnant once more. Lottie is terrified this time around because just as she found out she was pregnant, Val told her he wanted a divorce, though he kept his reasons to himself for as long as he could before he was outed anonymously. Someone sent Lottie and owl with a letter and intimate pictures of Val and his reason for wanting a divorce. He was having an affair and had been for years. He wanted to marry his mistress. With the ministry law enacted he wanted to marry her before she was caught up by the Goddesses. Lottie was heartbroken. She’d not known, she hadn’t seen it coming. She was supported by her family who all rallied around her. They moved her closer to the family and all pitched in looking after her and the girls Carrying on as well as she can, Lottie has divorced her husband. Their family home is for sale and the majority of the money is going to go to Lottie so she can buy her own little place closer to her family. The last she heard Val and his mistress were engaged although cracks were beginning to show already, but Lottie tries not to listen to rumours. She doesn’t want to know what’s going on in his life. He has little to do with the girls but he sends a good sum of money every month to support them - even Lottie, although Lottie is certain that’s his family pressuring him to do so more than him wanting to do the right thing. She still sees Val’s family but they meet at a neutral place. They’re heartbroken over what Val’s done also, and Lottie still feels so supported by them, but she can no longer work for them, and they fully understand and support her decision. Due at the end of January - and with twins of all things - Lottie decided to focus on making the new year a better one and praying that the goddesses keep her name out of the matching pool. As if being a single mother of 5 wasn’t going to be hard enough, she is constantly dreading being matched to someone unknown, after all her brother and her cousin have been matched to other people, so clearly their family is in the sights of the Goddesses. She feels as though her luck has turned to doo-doo and her time will come all too soon, and she has no idea how to protect herself or her babies. OOC Play By: Claire Holt Your Alias: Cas!
