PERSONALITY Likes: Music, song writing, being around his bandmates, being on stage, family time, flirting, going on solo holidays for a break, astronomy, dogs, wacky outfits, being "out of costume" and hardly getting recognised, good banter, collecting guitars. Dislikes: People thinking they own him because he's famous, being called old or past it (he's in his prime!), falling out with loved ones, being rushed/pressured, having to talk about personal things with people he doesn't know well, failure, disloyalty, pickles *gags*. Positive Traits: Outgoing, charming, open-minded, fun, up for a laugh, talented, works hard at the things he loves, a good son, a good brother, creative, honest. Negative Traits: Fickle, bit of a whore, superficial, naughty (but nice), cocky when drunk, hard to tie down, eternal child (he calls it youthful), reckless (mostly on tours). HISTORY Mother: Sandy Hookum nee Shaw, 62, muggleborn, nurse Father: Henry Hookum, 66, pureblood, Siblings: Daisy Hookum, 34, halfblood Eleni Hookum, 34, halfblood William Hookum, 30, halfblood Partner: N/A Exes: Hahahahaha Children: None that he knows of. He's usually careful. Others: His band mates are like family. TW: Small mention of being drugged and kidnapped. RAPH HOOKUM. I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW EXCITED I AM TO MEET YOU. *gorgeous Irish accent* "Excited, eh, love?" *all the suggestive smirking* OF COURSE, YOU'RE THE FRONT MAN OF THE HOOK, I'M A HUGE FAN. "I'm flattered. I'll sign you a little something afterwards." *winks* WELL, UHM, I'D LIKE THAT. HOW ABOUT WE GET STARTED? I WANTED TO ASK YOU ABOUT YOUR CHILDHOOD, YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT IT MUCH IN INTERVIEWS. "That's because it was boring. I didn't have one of those childhoods filled with disaster and drama. There were no dead uncles up to dodgy dealings, no bickering parents who hated each other." YOU'RE LUCKY, THEN. "So I've been told. I'm the eldest of four, it sometimes felt like a battlefield but that's sibling rivalry for yeh, it hardly counts for anything." TELL ME A BIT ABOUT YOUR SIBLINGS. "I thought you wanted to know about me." *cheeky chuckle* "I've got two sisters and a brother. The girls are twins, real double trouble though they're no trouble at all. I see to that. Someone once called our Daisy "Hooker" instead of Hookum. I've hexed a guy or two in the crown jewels over the years for her and Eleni. My brother is Will, he's in the band too, he plays the drums like a demon. Me mam used to cast silencing charms on his bedroom at home to block out the noise but he's a talented lad." IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ALL GET ALONG PRETTY WELL. "We do. Like I said, no dramas for our family. We're a good lot." HOW WAS YOUR TIME AT SCHOOL? YOU WERE A HUFFLEPUFF, YES? "Aye, I was a Hufflepuff. The hat told me a few things about my character that day that I'll never forget. I carry in me loyalty and truth, apparently, and a strong moral compass. I have to agree to a certain extent, but I do have a naughty side, which I'm sure you already know." I'VE READ A FEW ARTICLES. IS IT TRUE YOU ONCE ALMOST MARRIED A RUSSIAN ACTRESS YOU HAD ONLY JUST MET WHEN YOU WERE DRUNK ON TOUR? "Every word of it. I'd only just met her, but she was a right stunner, the wedding night would have been something to remember, only me mates dragged me away at the last minute." I'M SURE THERE ARE PLENTY OF GIRLS OUT THERE WHO ARE GRATEFUL TO THOSE MATES. "Are you one of them?" *flirty smile* I'M... I'M NOT... "You're blushing, love." MR HOOKUM... "Raph." RAPH. *grins* PLEASE. "Carry on probing me, sweetheart." I... OKAY. UHM, TELL ME MORE ABOUT SCHOOL. "Same question while you compose yourself, eh?" *soft laugh* "I found these really good mates who were into music like I was. Me grandad taught me how to play guitar as a kid, and I joined the frog choir. There were other lads who were pretty talented, too. I asked them if they wanted to form a group in our fourth year, and the rest, as they say, is history. We went through a couple of member changes, and more than a few name changes before we got to where we are now, but it made school fun." AND WHAT SUBJECTS DID YOU LIKE? "I could make a mean love potion." *grin* "Potions. Astronomy. I like looking at the stars, it gives me inspiration to write songs. I'm pretty good at Charms, as well, like." I BET YOU ARE. "I'm happy to give you a demonstration any time." SO YOU LEFT SCHOOL AND DECIDED TO PURSUE A CAREER IN MUSIC STRAIGHT AWAY? "No, I worked at me mam's bakery for a few months before I burned the kitchen down and she fired me. Then I tried my hand at an office job in the Ministry, but it bored the shite out of me, honestly. I need more stimulation than that." WHAT KIND OF STIMULATION? "Life! Living every day to the full, taking chances, daring to make risky choices and follow your gut. It's so worth it, even when you get yourself in a pickle in dodgy situations, there's always a way out, and you feel invigorated afterwards. There's nothing like it." WHAT DODGY SITUATIONS? "Oh, you know, just run o'the mill things like being drugged by an over-enthused fan and waking up tied to a chair in a hotel room. Don't look so horrified love, she was young, she forgot to take my wand, I got out of that one pretty easily. Needless to say, I didn't marry her, despite all of her posters declaring her love for me." YOU'VE NEVER BEEN MARRIED AT ALL, HAVE YOU. WHAT ABOUT LOVE? HAVE THERE BEEN ANY SPECIAL LADIES IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU'VE FALLEN FOR? "No, but I'm always open to it. You never know who's gonna walk into your life and hit you like a sack of shite. Sorry, a sack of potatoes. My job, touring with the band, it presents a lot of... opportunities, let's call them. But I've never been in love. Sad, isn't it." WELL, YOU'RE NOT EXACTLY A SPRING CHICKEN ANYMORE... "I believe they call that experienced." YES. THAT. "Do I live up to your expectations?" *leans forward in chair* *all the sultry expressions* I DIDN'T EXPECT YOU TO BE... I HAD NO... YES. YOU DO. *chuckles* SO THE BAND HAS BEEN ON A BREAK FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS. WHAT CAUSED THE SPLIT? "It wasn't a split, love, just a breather. It gets intense touring all the time, we needed a rest. As you said, we're no spring chickens anymore." AND WHAT HAVE YOU FILLED THAT GAP WITH OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS? "Mostly song writing for other artists. Doing some travelling, spending time with my family. Just enjoying the freedom, ya know?" SOME PEOPLE THOUGHT THAT WAS THE END OF THE HOOK. DID YOU EVER CONSIDER NOT GETTING BACK TOGETHER? "Not at all. The Hook is named after me, and my brother, I won't be abandoning them any time soon. Or at all. That's not my style. We made it big together and we'll keep it that way. We came back together this year to kick start a new era. New music, a new tour. It's gonna be great." THAT'S VERY LOYAL OF YOU. "Hufflepuff, remember?" OF COURSE. *moment of intense eye contact* DO YOU WANT KIDS IN THE FUTURE? "Well that depends if I'm signing your bra or your knickers after this, but I'm usually careful, so kids aren't likely unless you ask very nicely." *INTERVIEWER GAPES AND BLUSHES FURIOUSLY* *grinning like a true charmer* "We're done then, yeah?" SURE. "Thanks for the chat, love." OOC Play By: Colin O'Donoghue Your Alias: Chase Pronouns: She/Her Triggers: Spiders |
