Lunete Pearl Dearborn
PERSONALITY Likes: Her family, reading, long walks through forests, her owl - Hooty, midnight feasts, watching movies, cold weather, rain, spa days Dislikes: Assholes that break up with you a week after your brother dies, being stuck inside for too long, other people getting behind on paperwork (stresses her out that it's not done and she can't do it for them), people interrupting her while she's reading, people that create unnecessary mess Traits: Loyal, compassionate, friendly, giving, athletic, usually calm, usually has a smile for you - you know, depending if you've been an a-hole to her or not. Unforgiving, perhaps a little bland for some people that don't get her more subtle humour, overly cautious, some might say overly-emotional, feels too deeply at times. Abilities: Hit witch - Being a hit witch taught Lunete a lot about fighting and defending. She's quick in a duel and specialises more in defensive spells than anything else. She's also been practicing wandless magic quite a lot and is quite proficient at it! HISTORY Mother: Rosemary Dearborn nee Black Father: Tyle Dearborn Siblings: Brother - 39 Brother - 36 Brother - 35 Brother - 33 Tristan Dearborn - 30 Brother - 29 Partner: None Exes: A couple of serious relationships she thought was heading toward something special, a few short-lived relationships, too. Children: None Others: Black families Lunete Pearl Dearborn was born to Rosemary and Tyle Dearborn. She was the youngest of seven, all her older siblings being brothers. They were a rough and tumble lot, always getting into mischief with one another but Lunete was treated so delicately by all of them that she never learnt to fight the way they did, although she always wanted to learn and play with them but their mother would never let her. Lunete was always climbing her brothers as a toddler and small child, and they would just tickle her. Her eldest brother was away at Hogwarts a lot while Lunte was growing up. They were all fairly close in age to someone else, but the age gap between Lunete and her eldest brother was 12 years. She was always closest to her second youngest brother, he was always so caring and wasn’t afraid to play tea parties with her when she was upset. They would dress up in her costumes and play all day together sometimes. He would push Lunete on the tyre swing that hung from a tree in their garden and hold her hand down near the pond. Tristan was the best big brother Lunete could ever have. Lunete’s time for hogwarts came at last. She was sorted into Ravenclaw, just like Tristan, and she enjoyed being able to spend lots of time with her brother. He would teach her spells ahead of her year level and she flourished in school, all thanks to his help. Lunete loved Hogwarts, loved all the magic and classes and loved spending time with all of her brothers that she had missed over the years as they’d gone off to school, only returning for Chrstmas and Summer. During Lunete’s sixth year of Hogwarts, she was sent for and taken to the Headteacher’s office by her head of house. When she got there she saw all her brothers and her dad standing about the room, talking to the head. Her stomach dropped and her eyes scanned for her mother who was nowhere to be seen. She knew something terrible had happened and tried to compose herself. The headteacher and her head of house excused themselves and Lunete’s father broke the news to her that her mother had passed away in a car collision. Lunete was heartbroken, she was a wreck and took a month off of school and learning in order to grieve at home in private, away from her classmates. Returning to Hogwarts was impossibly hard but she had friends that helped support her back into things. Her Professors offered their help, too, and she got back on track, back to where she needed to be. After graduating from Hogwarts with near perfect grades, Lunete contemplated becoming a Healer, it was what Tristan had done, but instead she chose to go into the Ministry. She decided to try to become a Hit Witch and she made it through the training. Her family all worried for her greatly, but she knew what she was doing. She learnt to fight, learnt to defend herself and others and was happy with what she could do for her community. When the marriage law came into effect, Lunete wasn’t sure what to think of it. The whole idea of people being forced to marry was quite oppressive, however she could see why the Minister for Magic had decided upon such extreme measures. Retaliation started to stir in the people and then deaths started to happen. Lunete was kept busy at work, understaffed and overworked; she tried her best. Then, six months ago, more bad news was delivered. Her father came to her home and broke the news to her that Tristan had been killed. He’d been protecting a muggleborn family from an attack by the new insurgence that was rising against the marriage law. Once again Lunete’s world was shattered. She cried into her father’s chest for what felt like hours. As if that could not have been such a low blow in her life, a week later her boyfriend dumped her. Her world was crumbling around her and Lunete had to take some time off work. She used half of her saved holidays and when she returned she moved to desk duties. From there she filled a spot in the new department, becoming an officiant for those wishing for a more streamlined wedding process. She’s mostly happy doing what she’s doing. She has the training to deal with any unhappy people being forced to marry by the marriage law matches, but mostly it’s loved up couples that can’t afford a big fancy wedding, or just want to elope and spend their money on a romantic honeymoon. She loves hearing the stories of the people that come to her desk and it gives her hope that one day she’ll find someone to love her the way she feels she deserves.
