Leo felt a bit calmer as he walked. His temper had no outlet, and nothing was fuelling it to grow into an inferno, so it was fading gently as the minutes ticked on. It was a strange question, what she'd asked of him, but then she didn't seem like your average woman. 'cause i've made some real big mistakes It was interesting that he saw her with a reckless heart. It was true she had once been reckless with her heart, it had taken years to get a grip on her heart, to slow herself down, but was she still so? He wouldn't know of anything from her past, but she would confide it in him someday. Eve liked the way he spoke, the way his mood had shifted around her. Did she have a calming effect on him? She liked to think so. He was easy to talk to, when he was ready to accept any talking at all. "You see with your eyes but not yet your soul. But you are young, you'll learn in time to see in the beyond." Eve was smiling, lips closed, eyes looking at the path ahead, amused that he thought she could ever have been, or could ever be in any kind of danger. He was focused on a pretty girl, screaming in some ally, acting like a hero. He didn't see the subtle signs of what she was, or what she was capable of. Magical people always overlooked her kind, the same way that muggles overlooked magic, because what were the chances? |

Leo knew drunk when he saw it, and this was not it. Drugs, then? No. She was perfectly coherent, could walk in a straight line, her eyes weren't glazed over and her speech wasn't slurred. So what on earth was going on with her? Calling him young when she looked quite a bit younger than him, herself. He couldn't seem to fit the pieces of the puzzle together, no matter how hard he tried. "Are you some sort of seer or psychic or something?" he asked, thinking she might whip a crystal ball out at any point and offer to read his palm or tarot cards. Genevieve Outfit: Work clothes? 'cause i've made some real big mistakes The night was chilly but Eve didn't really notice the cold any more. There were a lot of things from her mortal life that she no longer recognised and she wondered how Leo would cope with the change. She had adapted badly, her life had been quite turbulent to begin with, but then to die and discover her mother was involved in her life and had turned her had thrown Eve through the ringer. She'd stuck around for her son for a while until she had to go, she was dangerous and she couldn't let him grow up around her violent nature. She'd made a string of bad choice, destroyed so many lives, created vampires of her own, but left them to fend for themselves. It was worse than her mother had done. She wouldn't make that mistake again, not with Leo. "Something like that." She chuckled softly, although there wasn't much of a smile to accompany it. It was interesting how he could reach for answers, get so far, yet fail completely. |
