The baby of the Drake family, little Niko was born with a shock of dark blonde curls on his head and big blue eyes. He fit right in with his siblings and loved being babied and doted on by the older Drake kids. He was a bit of a danger to himself and everyone around him when he learned to walk. He was into everything, and never seemed to tire or run out of energy. His mum always joked that he had no 'off switch' and she was right, there was no such thing as slowing down for Niko, he was full on hyper from the minute he woke up in the mornings until he fell asleep late at night. Luckily his energy was positive, and he was such a warm and affectionate kid that it was hard not to love him. Sure, his constant chatter and need for attention could be annoying, but he brought joy into his family's lives and their patience with him brought him joy in return. He felt seen and heard and loved by them all, which was very important for him to feel secure growing up.

Niko couldn't wait to get to Hogwarts. It was agony for him being left behind while all of his siblings and cousins were off living their lives. When he finally got to go, he was sorted into Hufflepuff and away he went. He was unstoppable. A quick mind mixed with a warm heart was the perfect combination to get him through his school years with lots of good friends and a million happy experiences under his belt. Sure, he got picked on a bit for having the attention span of a gnat and possessing zero filter, which could get him in hot water if he said something people didn't like, but his heart was always in the right place and with good friends by his side, he was able to shrug it off and move on every time. Niko wasn't the most academic kid, he couldn't focus properly in lessons, but he did have a real knack for charms, which was the only lesson he got an O in when he graduated, and his family and friends were so proud of him for managing that.

He was unsure of himself when he left school. He had a girlfriend who lived in Scotland that he hardly got to see now that they were living on opposite ends of the country, and he missed his mates loads, his siblings all had lives of their own and Niko floated around for a bit feeling lost. He didn't know what job he could possibly do other than maybe bar work with Leo, but Leo wouldn't let him apply to the Leaky. He told him that he was better than that and to strive for greater things. Niko really needed that. It was the push he needed to believe in himself, and so with his brother and dad behind him, he applied for a job at the Ministry, just office work at first, but after a year of working behind a desk in the misuse of muggle artifacts office, the head of department, a woman Niko refers to as Miss Hotberry, took a real interest in him. She had apparently pulled his school records and seen that he was a whizz with charms, and she offered to train him up as an obliviator. Niko couldn't believe his luck. Someone else who believed in him! He snatched up the offer and has been a fully fledged obliviator for almost a year now. He's so good at coming up with believable lies to tell to muggles and his memory charms are bloody impressive if he does say so himself. He feels like he's found his place in life, and he's happy and confident with the way his future is looking. He has his own apartment, just a little one that he hardly spends any time with because he's always out and about keeping himself busy, and he's single as of last month when his boyfriend broke up with him for "being too annoying". Whatever that means. Niko is happy in life, and looking forward to whatever the universe throws at him next.
