WHEN THE WORLD'S AGAINST ME is when I really come alive Leo dipped his hand into the popcorn bowl, grabbing a fistful and popping them into his mouth one at a time, eyes glued to the tv screen. He was sprawled on the couch, nestled into the corner seat in just his pyjama bottoms, a fire crackling away in the hearth. He didn't often get nights to himself. Atticus was having a sleepover with his cousins, which meant Leo got the house all to himself. He could have done anything, painted, drank a whole bottle of whiskey, blasted music so loud it hurt his eardrums, but what was he doing? Watching Titanic. It was one of his favourite movies, though he couldn't put it on when Atti was around. He loved the drama and sadness of it all, and it made his own problems seem petty in comparison to what the people on the doomed ship were going through. Currently, Jack and Rose were on the bough of the ship, haunting music playing. Leo couldn't tear his eyes away, the doomed couple stirring things in his soul that he kept hidden away. He knew a thing or two about doomed relationships. Wilhelmina A. I. LestrangeOutfit: Pj pants. stay with me and fall asleep, pray to god for no bad dreams Helley hadn't heard from Leo since the first of the month. She knew the date because it was when the announcements had been made and Helley had annihilated her flat. He'd been on her mind almost constantly since that day and enough was enough. If he was avoiding her then she was going to put a stop to that. If he hadn't given her a second thought then again, she was going to put a stop to that. Helley had no idea where she stood any more when it came to Leo, she had no idea what she needed to do to move forward. Things had been easy and simple before - he wound her up, she would bite back and then they would bicker. He would get himself under her skin and drive her insane at times. It was always so frustrating but he weaselled his way into her life and her heart. She cared about him, cared about what happened to him and cared too much when she thought he had been matched with someone. She was forced to confront that which she'd kept hidden, even from herself, and she was forced to confront it in front of him, because of him. It had been an eventful couple of weeks. Helley had almost died and she'd met the lead singer of The Hook, but still nothing was enough to fully distract her mind from Leo. Helley hated feeling hung up on some guy. She was certain if she could work then she would be able to push him out of her mind but everything had aligned so she couldn't work, she couldn't get him off her mind and enough was enough. She had to settle her damn brain, get it to shut up but apparently half a bottle of whiskey had only made her thoughts louder so she'd walked to Leo's from her flat, sobering up a little along the way but not enough to think it was a piss poor idea to show up at his place unannounced. She stood out the front, looking up at the house. The front room light was on and the curtains drawn so he was probably home. Helley walked to the front door and hesitated, something she'd never done before once she'd made up her mind. She took a couple of deep breaths and rapped on the door. She had no idea what she was going to say but she knew she had to get him out of her head and she couldn't do that from a distance.
