Question Three question three
What does your character think of the marriage law? Do you have any pro-marriage law characters? Do you have any on the fence? Is there someone that would rather take a stint in Azkaban over getting married to anyone? Perhaps you even have someone that dislikes it but is secretly excited that they could be matched with someone! Give us the deets!

Anti-Marriage Law Helley hates the marriage law, hates that it takes freedoms away from people - especially her. She's been matched but she has always had the stance that she would take Azkaban over marriage, that was until she was matched with Leo. He's the only man she could ever be convinced to marry, although it took a lot of effort and the fear of losing her job. Once she was matched, she wanted everything over and done with quickly. Make a decision and stick to it, no point dwelling.

Anti-Marriage Law ... mostly Tristan has never liked the idea of the Marriage Law. He understands the logic behind it but it's a bit too invasive into lives. Part of him believes in arranged marriages - it was how he was raised - but this seems too extreme. With saying that, Tristan has been matched and he's ecstatic with his match. He's always thought Izzy was the most stunning woman he'd ever met but he knew he'd never be able to marry her because of her blood status - if he did he would have broken his families hearts and he could never do that - but, thankfully, he was matched to Izzy with no way out of it so he's marrying the world's most perfect woman and there's not a damn thing his family can do about it.

Unphased Lilith doesn't like that she might be matched but she has ways of dealing with any match she disapproves of. Sort of. She's never taken a life before but surely it's not that difficult. Although if she was matched to someone attractive and rich, she could deal with that relatively well, she suspects. So long as they're pureblood.

Terrified Ava's been through a lot in life and she doesn't trust any man she doesn't know. It takes her a long time to get to a comfortable place with a man that she can be alone with him so the idea of being matched and married to someone terrifies her to no end. She just reminds herself that she's at Hogwarts 3/4s of the year so she would have some time to get to know and feel comfortable with a match, unless they're not a kind or understanding person, in which case she'll be crying. A lot.

Anti-Marriage Law Jasper is fiercely anti-marriage law. He believes it's a gross misuse of the elected Minister's powers and not at all what the people want. It's coercive, deceptive, and super bad. Any other kind of force marriage would be considered abuse, so why is this law? Barbaric. Jasper has been to a few protests and seen come into the emergency ward witches, wizards, and children whose lives have been endangered by the ministry's callous law. The ministry match blindly and absolute psychopaths are amongst those in the matching pool. Jasper won't go to Azkaban, and he hopes he'll never be matched. His family has already had to face that hell - twice. Plus his cousin. It's worked out okay for them, but he knows how much of a dangerous game the ministry are playing and he wishes he could do more against it.

Doesn't Care Eve doesn't care. She can't have children so it's pointless for her to even be involved, but if she's ever matched then she'll in the very least have a tasty snack on hand whenever she needs it.

On The Fence Ozzy is fully understanding of the reasoning behind the marriage laws and fully supports the encouragement of the re-population intent behind the notion, however he does believe it should be handled in a more delicate way. Deep down he's secretly hoping he gets matched with an incredibly beautiful witch - preferably pureblooded so his parents don't outright disown him.

Anti-Marriage Law Anti-Marriage in general, really, but to each their own. If she's ever matched then Tai will not stop being who she is, she just hopes her lifestyle choice doesn't upset her match - if she's ever matched.

Laughable The law can't effect her so she finds it hilarious. It will be abolished by the time her children are older so it's irrelevant to her life. She hopes her brother's are paired with muggleborns. It would be diabolically hilarious.

Cute Nova hates the marriage law - for herself. However she believes it could be the perfect way to find Echo the perfect guy! The Goddesses clearly know what they're doing, although she was terrified that she would wind up with someone with no money, but she has Ty now so all that fear is gone, completely washed away!

Horrific One of the worst laws ever passed, in Auggie's opinion. It's damaging so many people's lives and all for the sake of repopulation? The population will grow regardless of the law and it pains Auggie that he'll soon be in that dating pool but if his name is ever pulled he's made a promise to himself that he will be as dutiful a husband as he can be. Within reason.

Indecisive When the marriage law came into effect, Lunete wasn’t sure what to think of it. The whole idea of people being forced to marry was quite oppressive, however she could see why the Minister for Magic had decided upon such extreme measures. Her brother was killed as a result of retaliation against the law, but she doesn't see it as the law's fault - it's the people that killed her brother that are to blame. She works as an officiant at the ministry so she's had to deal with a few couples that had to get married because of the law and she's had to deal with all sorts of reactions to it.
